# What is Same Day Release?

Vendors enrolled in **PayCargo’s Same-Day Release** policy can apply approved payments within 1–2 hours of receiving the approval email alert. A yellow lightning bolt next to the vendor’s name indicates that this feature is enabled.

1. **Payer Approval:** The payer approves a payment through PayCargo.
2. **Vendor Notification:** An approval alert is sent to the vendor.
3. **Payment Application:** The vendor applies the payment within 1–2 hours of receiving the alert.
4. **Shipment Release:** Once applied, shipments can be released the same day.
